1947 Nov. 29 - born Michael John Harker in Culver City, CA.
1965 Graduated South Torrance High School
1965-67 Orange Coast College, team captain of 8-man Crew National Champions, job as photo lab assistant
1967-69 UCLA induding 4 semesters of cinematography, off campus job as photographer's assistant, purchased first 16mm film camera and made first film of UCLA Crew Team
1969-71 Drafted in US Army Recreation Center, Garmisch, Germany. worked as water & snow ski instructor and in information section as 16mm film and 35mm photographer
1971-73 Club Med snow & water ski instructor in Greece, Austria, and Switzerland. Filmed commercial for Club Med
1973 Made first film for ZDF German Television, 30 min. on my world record hang glider flight from the Zugspitze
1974 Made 60 min. documentary of hang glider flight from Japan 5 Mt. Fuji for ZDF and NBC
1975 Produced, directed, filmed and edited prize winning 60 min. documentary ,,Icarus", sold to 16 TV countries
1977-81 Hang gliding accident in Greneda. 3 years in hospitals
1981-83 Sports photographer for German magazine ,,Stern" then ,,Bunte" at Lake Placid Olympic Games. Filmed many 3 min. sport shorts edited to Pop music for ZDF (music clips)
1983 Purchased the first Betacam camcorder and component edit suite in Germany. Filmed andedited sportsevents
1984-91 Built and operated the first mobil Betacam OB van with component AlB edit & 3 live camera operations for sport events. Cameraman and editor or live mixer
1991 Built mobil flight-case production suite and produced TV series "Just for Fun" for ZDF (8 x 30 min)
1992 Returned home to Los Angeles to work for German TV in PAL for L.A., Operated my own PAL Betacam edit suite
1992-98 Produce, direct, film and edit TV series for ZDF once a year, 32 episodes of 30 min. each (Joy-robic, Fit-forever, Body-feeling). Photograph a book each time
1994 continuing extension courses at UCLA for non-linear edit and AFI computer edit and graphics courses (AVID, etc.)
